I took a look at the article in the Wordpress interface…the phantom tag was not there. I checked the database…it’s not there, either. I double-checked to make sure I’m looking at the right lines…yep, it’s the right one. I turned off Wordpress’ “auto-correct malformed XHTML” feature to no avail. The tag only appears in the final source of the blog home. So from where did this phantom tag originate? I only spent five minutes or so trying to figure this out, and perhaps I’ll actually waste more time on it, but I that little [...] [...] tag has found its way into my “New Kitten” article.
